Features

Manage Gong Team Member Licenses in Rippling
This integration enables new team member provisioning, profile or permission updates, and profile deactivation in Gong from Rippling.
Manage Group Membership
Gong groups are collections of users that are assigned team-level permissions to take certain actions in Gong. Groups you create in Gong are automatically synced to Rippling. You can then use your employee information in Rippling to manage which employees are members of those groups.
Monitor Team Member Account Activity
You can see details about the activities that happen as Rippling interacts with Gong, such as when users sign in to Gong via SSO, and when user accounts are matched or unmatched.

To see this activity, open the Gong app and select the Activity tab. To learn more, see this article about using the Activity Tab for third-party apps.

FAQ

  1. Open the Gong app and selecting the Groups tab.
    • Here you’ll see the groups that have been synced to Rippling from Gong.
  2. Choose which employees to include in each group.
    • You can choose any set of employees using Supergroups. For example, if you have an SDR group in Gong, you may want to include just employees with “SDR” in their title.

If you want to add more groups, you can do one of two things:

Go to Gong to create the group and add at least one user. The next time data is synced to Rippling, the group will show up on the Groups tab.
-or-
Create the group in Rippling by selecting the Groups tab and clicking Create New Group. The group you create will be synced to Gong. Before users in this group will be able to do anything in Gong, you’ll need to go to Gong and attach permissions to the group.

For more details about how Rippling handles third-party groups, review this article about managing groups.
If you decide you no longer want Gong to be connected to Rippling, you can disconnect it.

  1. Open the Gong app and select the Settings tab.
  2. Select Add or Uninstall Accounts.
  3. Select the trash icon.

When you disconnect your Gong account, the Gong app is removed from Rippling, and the connection between the two is severed. Employees will no longer be able to access Gong via single sign-on from Rippling. The employee information that was last synced to Gong will remain in Gong—nothing is deleted.
